Just Salad, a restaurant chain based in New York City, opened the eatery in Fairfield at 2267 Black Rock Turnpike (Route 58) in late January.
Offering over 15 chef-designed salads, wraps, warm bowls, avocado toast, soups, and smoothies, the eatery aims to bring "health and sustainability" to Fairfield, a spokesperson for the restaurant said.
Some of these salads include popular menu items such as the Crispy Chicken Poblano, Thai Chicken Crunch, and Tokyo Supergreens, which are known as "Iconic Salads."
Wrap options include the Honey Chicken Crispy Wrap, and Vegan Chipotle Wrap, and bowl offerings include the Chicken Fajita Bowl and Spicy Tofu Crunch.
As the restaurant settles into its new community, it will be holding promotions for nearly a week to celebrate its grand opening officially, the restaurant announced.
Beginning on Thursday, March 2, any customer who orders a meal in-store through Saturday, March 4 between both 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. will get a discounted $5 meal.
Additionally, the restaurant will offer $5 meals for customers who use reusable bowls and purchase meals in-store on Tuesday, March 7. The following day, on Wednesday, March 8, community workers who buy meals in-store will be offered $5 meals as well.
The new 3,332-square-foot eatery offers indoor seating for up to 46 people and can accommodate both small and large groups. It also features a large mural in the store that portrays iconic Fairfield landmarks and imagery.
The restaurant is open Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., as well as Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
In addition to the Fairfield location, Just Salad also operates more than 70 locations in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Dubai.
